Cleave
Enzymes cleave the bonds that hold proteins, starches and fats together. On the food surface (frozen or pellet) that means more nutrition available in the gut and less waste out the back. On rock, pipes and substrate it means biofilm, mucus layers and organic detritus cleaved apart at the molecular level. Precision, not force.
