MICROPLEX - Aquatic Probiotic Powder
MICROPLEX - Aquatic Probiotic Powder
20 Synergistic Strains. One Unstoppable Formula.
Microplex contains 20 carefully selected strains totaling over 1.2 x 1012 CFU. Each strain was chosen for a specific role — from ammonia oxidation to predatory pathogen elimination. Together they form a complete microbial ecosystem that cycles nutrients, suppresses disease through antimicrobial metabolite production, and recycles organic waste.
Engineered for Every Biological Function
Nitrification Core
Nitrosomonas europea oxidises ammonia to nitrite. Nitrobacter winogradskyi oxidises nitrite to nitrate. Together they provide the essential backbone of the nitrogen cycle — accelerating new tank cycling and stabilising established systems during bioload spikes.
Antimicrobial Warfare
Multiple strains produce a devastating cocktail of antimicrobial metabolites: surfactin, fengycin, iturin, bacillomycin, polymyxin, bacitracin, lichenysin, and bacilysin — lipopeptides and polyketides with broad-spectrum activity against Vibrio, Aeromonas, Pseudomonas, and fungal pathogens. This goes beyond competitive exclusion — these strains actively destroy pathogenic cells.
Bacterial Predation
Bdellovibrio bacteriovorus is a living predator — it literally hunts and consumes pathogenic Gram-negative bacteria including Vibrio, Aeromonas, Pseudomonas, Salmonella, and E. coli. It produces hydrolytic enzymes to breach cell walls and digest prey from the inside out. The ultimate biological weapon against disease.
Waste Recycling
A consortium of Bacillus species produces amylase, protease, cellulase, lipase, chitinase, xylanase, and ligninase — enzymes that break down starch, protein, cellulose, fats, chitin, hemicellulose, and lignin. Streptomyces hydrogenans decomposes complex organics including sludge and chitin.
Plant Growth (Aquaponics)
Multiple strains act as Plant Growth-Promoting Rhizobacteria (PGPR) — producing phytohormones (IAA, cytokinins), solubilising phosphate, fixing atmospheric nitrogen (Paenibacillus polymyxa), and releasing locked minerals. Essential for aquaponics root health.
Water Clarity & Biofilm
Bacillus natto produces poly-gamma-glutamic acid (PGA) — a natural bioflocculant. Combined with Bacillus mucilaginosus breaking down silicate minerals to release potassium and silicon, the water column is kept crystal clear.
