A true collaboration between Hmahli and Biotech Aquatica (BTA), this 5L Moving Bed Bioreactor combines aquarium expertise with precision sizing to deliver quiet, high‑performance aerobic nitrification and self‑cleaning media action. Use it for reef, fish‑only and planted systems to reduce ammonia and nitrite, improve clarity, and generate beneficial bacterioplankton for filter‑feeders.

Designed for K+ (Kaldnes‑type) media (included), the reactor is tuned for predictable biofiltration using a feed‑loading basis of 5 g of 50% protein feed per litre of media. Start at the recommended media level and scale up to match your tank’s bioload.
